Creating a Tea and Coffee box for your rental property

Coffee Machine in an Airbnb rental

A nice touch to add to your rental property is to supply tea and coffee making supplies. After a day of travelling, just like in a hotel, guests will appreciate the comfort of being able to make a hot drink on arrival or for the morning first thing when they wake up. Here’s some tips on creating a tea and coffee box for your rental property.

Keeping this all together and out on display on the kitchen counter makes things easier for your renters.

You don’t need to supply a huge amount of drink supplies for the entire duration of their stay – you can just supply a small amount to get your guests started which they can then go on to purchase themselves. However, I tend to leave enough to cover a fair portion of their stay.

I have both a kettle and a Tassimo coffee machine for guests which takes coffee pods. I find this brand offers the cheapest machines and pods with a great choice of pod flavours.

Here’s what you’ll need to create a simple tea and coffee supply box, including some of the things I use, below:

Tea/Coffee Organiser

I supply both the pods and tea bags in a wooden tea box organiser. The one I use has six compartments. I use this to supply everything guests need to make a drink without having to look through the cupboards.

Tea Bags

A mix of regular breakfast tea and herbal teas will give your guests plenty of choice. Herbal sleeping teas are also a great thing to add to help guests get a restful nights sleep such as the Twinings ‘Sleep Tea’. It’s also worth including decaff options too.

Coffee Pods & Sachets

If you offer a coffee machine that uses coffee pods like Tassimo or Nespresso, you can place both pods in the organiser. Alternatively if you only have a kettle, coffee sachets can be supplied instead. Coffee bags, similar to tea bags can help the organiser look more uniform if you’d rather not use sachets.

Sugar & Milk

Include both milk and sugar inside the organiser so guests can adjust their drinks.

Just by putting together a simple drinks box for your guests, you’ll create a more welcoming and comfortable stay and it’s an addition your visitors will love.
